NOTTA WORD™ Gameplay

  • • In each round, a player is selected as the Sleuth.
  • • The Sleuth selects a NOTTA WORD™ card from the deck, reads it aloud, then places it on the table so all can see.
  • • All players except the Sleuth are given 60 seconds to create a wacky, weird, zany, funny, or super serious definition for the NOTTA WORD™.
  • • The player to the right of the Sleuth collects the definitions and reads them aloud one at a time, taking care not to reveal the identity of the writers.
  • • Players can write down their definitions on paper or use a preferred messaging app to share their answers.
  • • The Sleuth verbally selects their favorite definition and then guesses which player wrote it.
  • • There is one point per round. If the Sleuth guesses correctly, they win the point. Otherwise, the player who wrote the definition wins the point. The NOTTA WORD™ card is held by the winning player to keep track of the point.
  • • Play continues to the right, with the definition reader becoming the next Sleuth. The game consists of as many rounds as there are players. The game ends once every player has had a chance to be the Sleuth.
  • • Points are tallied based on the number of NOTTA WORD™ cards each player holds. The player with the most points wins!
